Milford on Sea Dementia Information Sessions

Members of the Milford on Sea Dementia Action Group have been trained as part of the national "Dementia Friends" programme. We offer information sessions to voluntary organisations, groups, businesses and families. The sessions are free and last for about an hour. The aim of the sessions is to offer a greater understanding of what it is like to live with dementia, and to turn that understanding into action. If you are interested in attending a session or would like us to come to your group, please email us through the contact page. In the New Year we will be delivering sessions at South Lawn Hotel, and for the U3A. We will add the dates here once they are arranged.

Hillyfield Residential Care Home is dementia friendly.

The DAG dementia champions ran an information session for the staff of Hillyfield in November. They were very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the staff and delighted that everyone signed up to be a Dementia Friend. This means they will all be doing something extra to ensure that people with dementia in both Hillyfield and the community are better understood and have a better quality of life.
